I thought that she might become the antagonist or, at least, be more of a problem that had to be managed. I also thought that Chief's rebellion was less than a road bump. It had little consequence. Maybe we should have had to try to sneak off the ship and then fight our way out. Perhaps we just fight armored allies and can't take headshots (the reticle goes gray if over the head and there is no aim assist). Enough shots to the body will put an ally down but we find (through cutscene?) that nobody was killed - the UNSC appreciates that we pulled our punches. If we do get a head shot then its a mission failure with a return to checkpoint. Afterwards the Chief should have faced trial. If he gets busted to private then he could still retain the designation Spartan 117. He could always have his rank reinstated to master Chief at the end of Halo 5 or in the interval between 4 and 5. (Maybe nanobots would upgrade his rank in cryo sleep :- )
