Put this into a timeline: ES is working on a game. MS tells ES and Bungie that the game will now be in the Halo universe. It seems reasonable to me that both ES and Bungie would object to that, and that the words they used with their MS parent might get quite heated.
The bigger question is why he's dredging this out into the open.
