I don't think Bungie really has the right to say that was "Whoring out the franchise" (Assuming what Goodman says is true.)

Bungie was already planning on leaving Microsoft and Halo, they were in the planning stages of abandoning the franchise. I think that is just a very low card for them to play. Again assuming that this is true and not fabrication of Goodman's. Halo Wars was a fine addition to the series, I could argue it had a better story than Halo Reach :P
