In Response To: An open discussion about petetheduck (pete_the_duck) Like most people here, I'd say this isn't going to work. The idea of earning a $1500+ salary solely from community donations for making Halo-related content is kind of... well, unrealistic. And it gets even more uncomfortable for us when considering you have a wife and kid relying on that income. But you have to think about what you do have: - you're extremely smart - you communicate very well - you're ridiculously creative and ingenious - you lurv Halo That wasn't just to blow smoke up your ass: why not look for a real job in the Halo community? Why not submit your (very impressive) CV to places like Rooster Teeth or 343i and say "hey, what can I do for you?" Last Forger Standing, for example, could have worked very well as an official 343i event: you'd have more time to work on it and more applicants to choose from due to more publicity, and 343i would benefit from the increased exposure such a Halo event brings. KP got a community-related job at Bungie, and the only thing he put on his resume was "I hate Schooly D" with a crude drawing attached of himself wearing my crown and purposefully wasting sniper ammo.
