I've noticed over the years, people tend to write things such as you have after great moments of turmoil.

The last two days have been a mess. I haven't slept well because of it.

Halo for me was not the the written word. My first Halo book was Cryptum and it had me thinking more about Ringworld than Halo.

Halo for me was not the Internet community. At least not at first. Then it became so, when I joined a Halo Clan. As the Halo Clan lost favour with Halo my community has become mostly a group pf people over age 50. Oh, the fun we still have.

Halo for me was not Halo CE because I did not see it until after Halo 2.

Halo for me is not the canon. I cannot keep all of the dates and sequences in my head anyway and I sometimes I don't even care who might have died but is then resurrected inexplicably.

Halo for me started with the soundtrack. Marty's music drew me near enough to see the game. Oh how I wish he continues to make such sounds (not his rock).

Halo for me being involved, was watching my son play Halo 2 online with his friends. I think my jaw hit the floor.

Halo for me as a player began with Halo 2 then 1 campaign split screen with my youngest son.

Halo for me is not shooting human characters. If I have a good choice, I avoid those games.

Halo for me as a universe has been the combined sound and imagery from all of the games. The heroic effort of humanity against a common foe. Master Chief is the man we steer through this universe and he represents all that is good in a heroic figure. I hope he is never allowed to die.
