343 IS Halo

Bungie was Halo, and it was a glorious run.

343 is now Halo and it IS the sum of all these parts. While I'm dissatisfied with the changes in the TU I will forever hold onto the wonder that is Halo.

Things I've loved:

  • Greg Bear novels, they've been amazing
  • Halo Wars, interesting story and satisfying halo gameplay in a different genre
  • The DLC maps, oh my god, they've got something good going if they retain Certain Affinity for more maps.
  • Frankie's posting
  • Custom Challenges, it's a fun way of tracking how my friends and I are doing
  • Halo Fest, I didn't/couldn't go, but I felt the love from the other side of the world
  • HCEA, it's been amazing going through it, such memories with amped up graphics and sound (seriously, crank up those A40s and the AR will never leave your hands
  • Halo 4 details so far, you've got my heart pounding, I can't wait to get lost in an alien artifact again

Still, I don't like how the TU has been handled. I'll still play and I'll still enjoy myself, it's just not... perfect.

Also, still confused about the voting re: Team Slayer TU vs Vanilla. I just want there to be a very clear TU vanilla line in the sand in Matchmaking. If voting for vanilla could possibly end in TU being shoved into the Anniversary area only, then I'd always vote for vanilla. Though if voting for TU could make TU take over 90% of the playlists so I never have to think about it, I'll vote for that.
