She was near livid at the start of Helm's Deep when the elves showed up. From my perspective it was worse that they didn't end the movie how TTT the book ended. But then once all three films were out and I had a chance to see them back-to-back the age old book-to-film adaptation woes became less apparent. As has already been stated, the books are the books and the films are the films. I love them both and even though Peter Jackson has inserted some questionable elements into the classic Tolkien tale, they still hold up remarkably well.
