My second thought was, "Wait, this : isn't Halo 2?" I'm really interested to see how the rest of the game : looks. And this stuff makes me really, really interested in seeing how : Halo 4 turns out. I used to say that a sequel to Halo 3 would be doomed : from the start. But seeing what 343 has been doing... I'm betting that I : was wrong. : also lol, I like how the default response to "What is your next game : going to be like" is always "Well, we have a really great team : full of talented, hard-working people, and we're making a great : game." Just once I want to hear, "Well, our studio is : embarrassingly incompetent and nobody involved in this project gives that : much of a shit at all, so I wouldn't hold my breath waiting to see if the : game is good or not." Having seen the video, I'm still reserving judgment over the Autumn. There are a few things I don't want to see changed, but I'm thinking it will. As said above, I don't think it's an update that necessarily long-term fans will enjoy, but rather fans who weren't fanatically observant maybe (I fall into a select group they really can't accommodate I'm guessing). I see a lot of changes. I'll be far more forgiving in areas like the Halo ring...the physical environment like the hills, rocks and trees I can see more of an upgrade happening. Even something as simple as the beam towers though...the updated look looks awesome, but something meaningful has been lost from 'this looks to be a single simple structure' to 'now it has a bunch of moving parts so it makes sense how it works now'. I hope some of the original design hasn't been lost in intent, not just in look. Still looking forward to Anniversary more than ever. I'm just staying wary of the changes. :)
