Eh, I think you're misidentifying a problem; 60 certainly does offer an advantage over 30 in effectiveness in gameplay, but it sounds like you're experiencing variable framerate which, even if it stays over 30, will screw you over many, many times worse than smooth 30 will, as you'll be getting a great deal of judder-like effects, which mess with your sense of timing and motion.
