I'm really enjoying seeing this story come to life. The only : gripe that I have (really minor) is that they used the carbine sound : effect for the beam rifle. Other than that, A+. you're right, which makes it even worse-- I thought I saw needles on one of the shots of it and for some reason mistook the sound of it firing. I'm surprised it took that long for someone to notice. What we're seeing and hearing there is confusion between the the carbine and the particle beam rifle-- the HUD and overall appearance are that of the beam rifle, but the sound effect is that of the carbine (I'd say the Halo 3 version), and then when it's dropped there's a pink glow along the length of it that fades away that reminds me of the needle rifle but doesn't really seem like any Covenant weapon I've seen. It's like someone glanced at a few pictures or video clips from across the series and assumed they were all the same weapon. It also used the Halo 3 SMG sound effects (pretty sure, could possibly be Halo 2) for the silenced SMG. To top it all off, the doors are different again, specifically back to the Halo 3 style, can't anyone agree on what Covenant doors look like or how they operate? Each of these are minor gripes especially with the emotion and energy that are dripping out of this short but taken together along with the errant blue-armored Elite with a sword which I didn't notice they suggest to me a disconcerting lack of attention to detail.
