In Response To: Re: Halo [R]Evolved - The Silent Cartographer (ZackDark) : Indeed, that is weird. "The Flood" offers no further clarification? That's what I was wondering. I haven't read "The Flood". Halo 1 implies the heck out the idea that Viktor 933 entered the swamp during TSC; The Silent Cartographer is figuratively and artistically a morning level, and 343 Guilty Spark is figuratively a dusk level (it's a greyish, dark transition from the daytime second act push of AotCR to the nighttime bulk of the third act). Foe Hammer, in 343GS, says that the last contact was "over twelve hours ago," and the game implies that the last contact was during TSC, considering that the twelve hour mark would make sense in the difference between figurative morning and figurative dusk.
