In Response To: REACH player count pegged at 16max (DEEP NNN) Brian Jarrard has said we will see improvements in MM through XBLive networking over all previous Halos. Even though the total number of players in a match still stands at 16, we should be happier while playing. That is really something to look forward to. Lag and latency caused some of the most dissatisfying moments of Halo that I can remember. It happened way more than 50's on twink tags romping all over your hide. We mostly learned to accept the poor networking conditions as a fact of life. If REACH can reduce some of those issues, it will be like breathing fresh air. As for the number of players still being 16. I have a full FL and belong to an active Clan of 100 on a site with lots of Halo players. Even with that, 16 seems to be a good number. During Halo 2's hay day, our Clan rarely had more than two full rooms going. Increasing the number beyond 16 to play with strangers in MM doesn't excite me at all, at the moment.
