In Response To: Forerunner Physical Appearence *SPOILERS: Origins (Andrew-022) : 2. When Cortana was talking about the Forerunners reseeding the galaxy, I : kept wondering why the hell they didn't reseed themselves. It made : absolutely no sense. It violates the basic evolutionary drive to propagate : the species. The only answer is that the Forerunners did reseed : themselves, and we just think they didn't. We are the reseeded Forerunners : (although this is nothing new). Except that it shows humans on Earth when they're busy constructing the Ark portal, and then they end up re-seeding us after they Halo Array wipes all life from the galaxy. So the question is, if we aren't directly Forerunner, what are we? Or were we so biologically similar to them that they decided to reseed themselves or put something from themselves into our beings? After all, they did choose our planet to build the portal. So I'm not convinced that humans are explicitly Forerunner, but there's obviously some sort of clear link to it, whether they chose us and mixed their DNA with the re-seeded version of humanity, or did something else to create that bond and connection.
