I don't make it a habit of writing off entire genres of art or : music, but anime is the only one I've encountered that is so consistently : overrated and outright terrible looking. You say that all anime is qualitatively the same. You say you've seen "hundreds" of anime, but don't want to list any, much less any details like how much of a series (some short clips? 1 or 2 eps? the whole thing?), whether it was dubbed or subbed, televised or on DVD, etc. (and "hundreds" is an obvious exaggeration; I've been an avid fan for over a decade, and I'd be hard-pressed to name 100 that I've see in their entirety). You don't even bother mentioning a couple of these "high-end" anime by name. Hell, you don't even bother explaining what exactly it is about "all anime" that makes you hate it so. Also despite hating anime, you've apparently sat through "hundreds" of them. One wonders why you wouldn't get the hint after the first dozen or two. If I saw something by Ed Wood or Uwe Boll and went (like most people probably have done) "this sucks," I sure as hell wouldn't voluntarily sit through a marathon of their films. You know what I think? You're a troll who tries to pass himself off as an "expert" to justify his horribly generalized insults. Out of your eight posts here at HBO, seven have been nothing more than belittling anime and people who enjoy anime. If you're not a troll, then at the very least you're a really lousy critic prone to crude generalizations and exaggerated claims.
