In Response To: Graphical evolution of the Halo series. (Gravemind) Great write-up. It's a bit wordy, but it really looks as if you put a lot of thought and effort into this. It should be a good resource against people who refuse to accept that Halo 3 DOES have better graphics. Why is everyone complaining about Halo 3's graphics? Unlike the hype machine for Halo 2, Bungie's previews for Halo 3 have been missing a lot of the "Wow" factor. Games get the "Wow" factor when they are so awesome and unique that everyone has to pay attention. The Halo 2 E3 preview had a LOT of that, with dual-wielding and boarding, but as for Halo 3, I've yet to see anything more awe-inspiring than the Halo 3 Announcement trailer, and that was quite a while ago. So I guess that due to the lack of this "Wow" stuff, most people are feeling like it's just Halo 2 with better graphics. I kinda agree with them, it really does look a lot like Halo 2. But even then, mediocrity never was Bungie's style; I'm sure they still have a LOT of "Wow" stuff waiting around to be shown off ;) .
