In Response To: Graphical evolution of the Halo series. (Gravemind) When I see a thread suggesting a "graphical evolution of the Halo series" I expect that after clicking that thread and waiting for the page to load I'll see something, well, graphical. In this case when I clicked the link and waited for the page to load, I saw a lot of words. Now, I'll be the first to admit, I like words, I'm a big fan of them. Not just spoken words either; anyone who knows me well knows that I believe that the written word is a very important thing. That being said, however, when a post promises a graphical representation of something, and I see that, my mind is made to enter a different mode, one that places more emphasis on the visual and not so much on the semiological. And so, when, after having clicked the link to the supposedly graphically oriented post, I’m confronted not with images but words, you can imagine it's quite jarring. I mean, it’s not a big deal or anything; it’s just, you know, I don’t know, eh you know what I mean.
