(kons0uL) : Anyone who has made machinama videos or highlight reels that have copyrighted : music as their soundtracks should definitely take a look at this . It : seems as though the RIAA is shutting down those sites that serve this type : of media claiming that if someone, say, downloads a video of Halo 2 : gameplay set to Metallica that that same individual will now feel as : though he/she has no need to buy the album the song was initially released : on. : As we all know this is pretty ridiculous. If anything, I am compelled to buy : the music in question after seeing it in a really nice video. : Thoughts? : -kons0uL I was wondering why this post had no response to it... I guess it was just posted at a bad time of the day... 3 AM... Regarding this - I think it'd be a good idea for Wu to drop any music vids that are up on HBO - to save the site from any CHANCE that the RIAA may come knocking,,, You'd think they'd at least give some warning to it - instead of just showing up at some site that thought they were hosting legal things and taking the entire site offline... Damn...
