The AU's content is not known to us. all we can do is speculate. and while we speculate it helps modders to get around it. (you have to know the enemy to get around it no?)
anyway... i believe the AU contains updats that makes it easier for Bungie to detect modifications. stuff like checking all i/o with the server would be useful for this. the Bungie BanHammer will still be operated by Bungie personnel, not automatic, as machines make mistakes, and stuff like this needs a human mind's... waddaya call that? "sense"?
