U.S. Open 2000: Rated T?

That would be cool.

Yes, I think M$ will adopt this approach as well. It clearly would want to emulate what seems a successful route of a competitor. Its like Disney with an "independent" arm for producing "mature" content.

Heh! What can I say? I've never noticed, probably because I was so busy trying to herd my units and keep them alive. 8=} (Specially those Dwarves!)

It gets back to opinions. Somehow, Myth doesn't seem to deserve an M rating to me, while UT (which I enjoy playing) seems more chock full of gibs. Same with Q 3. Your opinions will likely differ from mine. That's OK with me.

Anyway, it seems mighty inconsistent

I don't see the taunts as mere threats (indeed, it seems like the "taunts" are heard after the kills much of the time). What bothers me about such language is an entire attitude. American society is so hell-bent on being politically correct that I'm amazed that "Die Bitch" does not incur the wrath of the politically correct everywhere. Be that as it may (or may not be?), I'd rather that teens see an intense game of Myth than hear "Die Bitch", etc. as they are entertained. If that seems inconsistent to others, so be it.

Very! I think it is also complicated by the fact that most "raters" don't play a game all the way thru before assigning a rating. It's much simpler to sit thru a 1.5 hour movie and throw something at it.

I didn't know that. Heh! Technology affects content affects ratings?

I wonder if some kind of peer review would work better than what is in place now? That, or at least broadening the scope of those who implement ratings to include members of the industry? Or is that actually done now?
