Well, I don't know about mods, but I can say fairly certainly that X-Box players won't be playing over the internet against computer players. My reasoning for this is simple: the X-Box will have a console control pad. If you've ever played a first/third person shooter on a console, you'll know that the aiming scheme is more difficult to control and doesn't offer the pin-point accuracy that mouse and keyboard players have.

Having players with such a great disparity in skill would be awful. It would not be fun for either party, and hence I think Bungie won't do this.
