In Response To: Feedback Needed (SketchFactor) I don't see any reason to get rid of KIO games. It's generally good to have as many choices as possible. But yeah, there are quite a few things that are frustrating about the game, namely, of course, the fact that someone else can take out your target, making you wait for said target to respawn. That's why all invisibles works so well, since you can see your target best (if you have nav points, and good freaking luck playing if you don't). It also adds an intersting element of strategy to team games, because killing a member of the opposite team isn't always good, since you'd be taking away one of your teammate's targets as well. However, if you see one of your enemies going after one of your allies, it would be a good idea to take him out to prevent the other team from scoring. Teamkilling and suicides can also be a problem, since they're both cheap ways of preventing the enemy from scoring. But, of course, it also prevents you or your team from scoring as well. Here's an idea I'd like to throw out to anyone listening. You start off with a target, and instead of that target changing everytime you kill him or her, it changes after a set amount of time passes, sort of like with crazy king. However, this format could also create lots of mismatches, especially in cases where people are AFK. Perhaps the only thing that can be done about some of the problems people have with KIO games is to immediately switch targets when your current target dies; not just when you kill him or her. This would keep the action going, and it really doesn't matter if it makes one player the target of multiple players; that happens with mismatched teams anyway. Remember, there's always room for improvement. Let the gameplay evolve. |
