In Response To: *agrees with Meg again*, and ideas of my own (gspawn)

: I'll just put my opinion here, since it's similar. I like killing things. And
: I like killing things from (either point blank or...) far away even more.
: In fact, the best kill is by an explosive so powerful I have to be at a
: distance to survive. Yeah, that's the best. (aside from the point-blank
: rocket that would have won the game for me but I nailed myself along with
: the target just so I could do it again...)

: I've played kill-in-order games maybe twice in my whole Halo career. I just
: think it's weak that I could potentially get deadlocked with some guys
: blowing the hell out of each other and not getting any points because my
: mark isn't one of them... which happened a time or two.

: That said, I think it would be nice to have WEIGHTED games. For example,
: killing the last-place player is worth less than killing the first-place
: player... or maybe you get points equal to you target's. Example: Kill the
: guy who's in the lead with 12 points, you get 12 points... that might be a
: blast... really big scores making for arcade-style points. If the game
: goes to 50 kills and was scored this way, it might be possible to have a
: spread of points from say 50 to 1000... or more depending on the size of
: the game and the value of the leader's kills.

: Having priority targets is cool, but not a strict kill-in-order policy.
: It's fun occasionally for fairly experienced players... but for the most part
: if I want a gametype like that I'll just play Oddball(ball) or
: Oddball(Tag).

Well there is a game I play that is similar to this on PC, its a mod of a mod, Counterstrike the popular Half-Life mod had a WarCraft3 mod made for it.

WC3 Counterstrike starts you off with a menu allowing you to choose 1 of 6 races from the Warcraft universe. Each race has 3 different UNIQUE abilities and one unique ultimate-move. Each ability has 3 stages, and you can only gain one stage of any ability after leveling up, and the ultimate-move is only availible on a very high level. In order to level up, you need experiance points, and in like most RPGs, the higher you go, the more XP you need to level up. How much XP you gain is determined by how much XP your opponenet has (its basically what his/her score is, if they are in 1st place they likely have a large amount of XP). For example, humans have 3 levels of invisibility (with level 3 being near-transparent), 3 levels of health (15 extra HP per level), and an ability to have a certain % chance of freezing your opponent from moving (but not firing,) with the percentage increasing every level, and their ultimate is TELEPORTATION (may favorite hehe). Other races have nice things like jumping higer and higher, recieving less damage, etc.

This would work well with Halo. Grunts, Jackels, Elites, Hunters, Marines, Cyborgs, A.I. , I think you get the picture :)

Well, this might actually be a better idea for a Halo PC mod than a Halo 2 KIO gametype, BUT IT SOuNDS JUST SO DELICIOUS !
