In Response To: Your 2004 Halo Predictions (CobaltNova) IT'S GONNA BLOW!!! Halo 2's success, the availibility of editing software, and bordom will create more fan made movies than there ever need to be. Limitations on pipage will create unique movie serving situations. Different websites will begin hosting separate categories of movies instead of hosting mirrors of good ones. Getting your movie exposure will not be as simple as emailing Wu. My site is going to kick ass halo2.ninjasonfire.com is going to kick ass. A lot of it. ;) $$$$$$$ Halo 2 teams and players will be sponsored by companies more than they are now as a valuble exposure resourse. We'll be seeing team shirts with Bawls and Nvidia logos on them. Top teams will be flown to tournaments by their sponsors and more. Louis Wu's free time will be gone. Hello Halo 2, Bye Bye Sleepie! :) Your Mom Halo's brand name is already pretty strong. By the time Halo 2 get's released parents accross the country will be saying "Wort, Wort, Wort". People will hear about this game, your grandma will know about it. Halo 2 and the Xbox will become married, have 2.5 children and live down the street from you. Goodbye PS2. Shigeru Miyamoto? Who? Developers of Halothon will become legendary game developers. Jason Jones and Marty O'Donnel won't have to look for gaming related jobs ever again. Companies will hire them as consultants. Live? More like Dead A abmitious hacker will take down the Live service after loosing a Halo 2 match, or something similar. Once Halo 2 hits XBLive it will become a target for all those damn DOSer's. Dead? More like aliveXBC will still be played more than ever. XBC will have the best competition and nobody will be comparing your Mom to a Dolphin. Also voice support, while fancy, will take up more pipe. XBC will offer a less laggy experience. More people will be playing on XBC than on XBL. Halo Killa Somebody is going to create a Haloesque game and sell lots of copies. Morons will swear that this game is better and call us idiots. It'll be fun. It's a lot cheaper right now to rip of somebodies work and pay lawyer fee's than it is to create something new. I've got more too...
