In Response To: Re: Your 2004 Halo Predictions ('Nosolee) Here is a great example of what we're after. * Halo 2 will be patched within the first week of release, with Microsoft's Xbox Live auto-patching system. * Halo 2 will not be an ideal game to run with a modchip. Code will be embedded making it difficult for hackers to use it in any way, shape or form, unfortunately. Since Microsoft can't have any sort of hacks on Xbox Live, that will extend to decompressed multiplayer maps in the resource files. No more skin hacks for you! * Halo 2 for PC/Mac will not be announced. Bungie and Microsoft will remain quiet about it throughout the end of the year to milk as much money from the Xbox game as possible. Hell, Halo Xbox is still making money for them, and selling copies. It's doubtful that Halo 2 will ever appear on PC; review the timeline of the Midtown Madness series. MM1 was on PC; MM2 was on PC; MM3 is "Only on Xbox" and as of this moment, no plans to bring it to PC are around. * Louis Wu will have another forum crisis when an egg (yes, there will be eggs in Halo 2) is discovered.
