Just a quick thought: In POA, Bungie was willing to bet that you'd never see more than maybe a fifth or a sixth of Halo's surface, so it makes sense to just repeat the textures inside the ring. However, the Halo that appears in AOTCR and TB is, obviously, one that they planned for you to see, and that you can examine carefully if you want to. Hence, it would make sense for them to do this one carefully, and not just repeat the same texture a few times. -Nate | |
