Well that may be a bit harsh, but I've never played a N64 game that held my interest for longer than an hour. Mario 64 wasn't revolutionary as far as its entertainment value, and the only reason you like those games is because you've got nothing else worth playing. I'll just touch up a little bit on how Nintendo caters to the little kid market, and that the playstation tries to hit the mainstream. (ever see a nintendo ad in Maxim or vogue?) Almost all of nintendo's games are geared toward small elementry school-aged children, where the playstation has taken games to a completely different level. Masterpieces like Metal Gear Solid, Xenogears, Final Fantasy seven were just impossible to do on the N64. Ever play a game on the nintendo that moved you emotionally? If you say yes, then you're a filthy filthy liar. Finally, how many people do you know who bought a N64 and were satisfied with just that? Anyway five years ago I would have put my money on Sony's playstation, and with the incoming generation of systems I'd say they're still a safe bet. So while you're watching a greasy plumber jump up and down, I will be maturing spiritualy as I share the experiances of the charecters within the interactive novels on my PS2. M.F. ;>d | |
