Randomly Generated Maps and the "Whole Halo"

As far as I know, it's not randomly generated. I was begging for a way for this to be done as something that could be released (make your own random Halo map to play on), but my obvious lack of programming knowledge apparently shone through back then.

I was told that it was more or less impossible considering (a lot of programming stuff I didn't understand) about Halo. I doubt any part of it would be randomly generated, but of course, can no longer speak with certainty, since God only knows what they might implement within a year.

I think that's probably all I'm allowed to say about it. :) As far as your second question, I'm not sure whether you mean multi-player or single player? If you mean single-player, I'm sure things will happen all over the Halo, but I highly doubt you would have to take your guy and run for 20 hours (or whatever) to get to where you need to go. I'm not sure if that answers your question or not ...
