Their ultimate goal with the X-Box, as it is with all thier other products, is to force all thier competitors out of business and establish a monopoly in gaming machines. And as with operating systems, word processors, and web browsers, they're willing to lose money in the short run. So, what they want to do is establish X-Box as a console you have to buy to play the games you want to play. To this end, they want to get monopoly titles for thier console. It's well known that games sell the system. How many people bought Nintendo 64s just to play Zelda and Mario? I did. Buying Halo would mean thousands of extra units sold, and building an installed base is Microsoft's only goal at this point. -Forensic And that's the way you do it.
