Good, and getting better. You wisely attributed the information, though you didn't say how you knew this person or what his position is. Specific is better. Or what your name is, for instance, and why you have to remain anonymous.

A few comments.

I imagine that Alexander Seropian would be the one finalizing the deal, since he is the CEO. But Jason is one of the co-founders, so I guess you have plausible deniability.

The link to Macworld was a nice effort, but it wouldn't really work if the reader knew that Bungie also nearly didn't attend last time because the Macworld organizers have been gouging exhibitors lately, and that they wouldn't have anything to profit from "preaching to the choir," so to speak. But you could always pass this off as you just b.s. speculating, since you didn't try to force it as hard fact.

Likewise, for the "Oni gets scrapped" thing, you'd have to assume that Microsoft calculated that this game, which is basically complete, wouldn't even make back the money they would spend burning cds, packaging it, shipping it, and marketing it. Real iffy. Finances are kind of a nebulous thing, so maybe you could get away with it. But it still comes across as a lame ploy you thought about while reading about Looking Glass's demise at the hands of Eidos.

Your biggest tactical error, and one you couldn't just pass off so easily, was saying that "all PC sites know about this." How do you know all PC sites know about this? Do the prominent webmasters congregate much? Do they all meet in thier secret lair under the mountain of Vallahalla, quaff mead, and laugh heartily about how thier tight-knit cabal controls and restricts the flow of information to the mere mortals that are game players? I suppose you could say that Microsoft, for some strange reason, told everyone about it a week ahead of time and then was like, "But shhhh, DON'T TELL ANYONE!" And that out of these sites, all of whom would love to be able to scoop their nearest competitor (unless they do in fact run a secret Shriner-like organization), NONE ACTUALLY PUBLISHED THE INFORMATION. You'd have to assume that all the major PC gaming news sites were complete corporate whores. Which they are. So maybe it's not all that farfetched after all.

Probably would have been better to have left that part out.
