I think that MIDI-type storage representations would probably work very well for general background music that just plays all the time at a low setting. No way. I don't know if you've played Half-Life, but the music comes up at places where the player walks into particularly awe-inspiring architecture or into an intense fire-fight. It is extremely cool and an excellent addition to what is, really, an action game. - Butcher
