A note on scale

This was planned and eventually abandoned for Myth 1 & 2, right?
[What does this have to do with a note on scale? Music ... notes ... scales ... I crack myself up sometimes.]

Regardless of whether it's 10,000 miles or 10,000 kilometers in diameter, it's honkin' big. The Earth is what, roughly 8,000 miles in diameter? I wonder if we should expect any planets to pass _THROUGH_ the Halo during the game. And the moon "Basis" orbiting Threshold must be close to 50,000 miles in diameter going by the trailer movie. Assuming roughly Earthlike density (probably not a good assumption, but whatever) that would mean it (the moon) has approximately 360 times Earth's mass, which makes it significantly more massive than Jupiter (and not all that much smaller, either - Jupiter is only about 90,000 miles in diameter).

Actually, the size of the Halo compared to the size of Earth brings up an interesting idea about how the Halo might have been constructed... maybe it was built in a ring orbiting a planet and later moved?
