There's been a lot of R&D done in this area already. DirectMusic does something similar, in dealing with themes, and Gamasutra had an article about six months ago that went into some detail as to how truly interactive music is possible. If anyone can pull it off, it's going to be Bungie and Total Audio. IMHO. - Butcher
