I've played FPSs for a quarter century, using keyboard, mouse, controller, joystick, trackball, whatever; so I've already collated data on what works best for what. AFAIK, Marathon was not originally a mouse game, like all the FPSs of the era, so I didn't play it with one, and even to this day Aleph One's mouse support leaves something to be desired over some other sourceports of old games.
