...I was _trying_ to say there are an awful lot of people who do in fact have a lot of tricks, but then you see some _genuinely_ wild stuff and realise the list of what's possible just goes on and on. I didn't say anything about _my_ approval, but (though the trick-est map I've ever seen was by me, and never released due to shapes file changes, though if you want that could happen, but I don't look at that many other maps) was more speaking in reference to your ability in relation to what's possible and what has been done.
Three years. I've wasted three years of my life on this piece of trash for you guys, yes, just for you guys:

Hell, you'd have to be some sort of programming prodigy to manage such a thing by the time you're 16, no? Yes, I have bipolar. You have to be slightly mad to have enough dedication and skill. I wrote 245Kb of PLAIN TEXT and that's just the source; there's another 101kb of miscellanious documents in the folder, too. I actually went through EVERY SINGLE SOUND from Marathon 2 and saved each one - twice. Hell, I wouldn't even have minded the lukewarm "oh yes, cool..." responses from a handful of people, if they'd given me a little respect for it. Look, I'm going to give up on guilt tripping and detailing my crazy endeavours and cut to the chase:

Now I *could* withhold the source and/or binary and let you all toil in getting Aleph One to do what you want with it's pathetic featureset while possibly wondering what e0 would have been like, but since I'm so damn nice and this forum hasn't been _entirely_ awful (*glare*) I'm going to leave something behind.

I should wonder whether anyone will pass it on and someone continue the work. Might be of interest to see.
(The E0 pic is the opening room of Waterloo with some items added and bobs removed to make it more interesting. No, it can't get the textures right while importing maps, but the editor _can_ import them, geometry, enemies, items, platforms, etc and all. (Though of course since it's not finished, no terminals/lights and numerous other omissions)
...damn! Now I know what I forgot to take pics of, the molded-lead Marathon logo I made (made the mold, too)... oh well, too bad, guess I'll have to keep _that_ to myself... no cam...
