I'm going ahead and correcting this to:
Marathon: we're still playing a port of Marathon 2 and have imported Marathon. I'm guessing significantly less people play the original Marathon on their old Mac. There really isn't a need to.
Halo: People are now playing the sequel which would be akin to Marathon 2. Imagine that.
Granted, I totally agree with you that the Marathon series beats the Halo series. But there are probably more people obsessed with Halo/Halo 2 then there ever were for the Marathons. Of course I'm just spewing opinion.
One thing I'm personally disappointed in as I'm playing through Halo: CE is the lack of interaction I feel with the story-line. I feel as if I'm playing a great game and then watching a decent movie. Ah well, nothing perfect.
