You've read and agree with my story synopsis / backhistory... is there any difference between "corrupt Jjaro" and "W'rkncacnter"? And man, I thought I came up with that idea... : I disagree with the analysis that the brother are W'rkncacnters, unless Ian : has explicitly said so. Even : then, I'd believe that Ian made an error in his : judgment calling them that. W'rkncacnters are beings of chaos, sleeping : gods, if existing in our universe (that once awakened) unleash chaos, : intentionally or otherwise. The brother, while wreaking havoc, seem - well : a little small time for W'rkncacnter. Ok, I suppose if you want to define W'rkncacnter more narrowly as "those eternals [Jjaro] possessing reality-altering power and having been driven completely insane", then you have a point. But the brothers could still be something on their way to becoming W'rkncacnter. : From here on in, I'll launch into some extended Mara-verse prospects: Look at : Forrest's idea that The Jjaro (Forerunners?) constructed Halo : installations to prevent an biological threat long ago that could animate : living and dead matter - the Flood in the Halo/UNSC time line serves this : purpose in the outline for M:Eternal. : Although Forrest seems reluctant to totally separate the Halo and Marathon : universes, (although there are some very real time line conflicts) I'm aware of the timeline conflicts, which is why I didn't try to unite the timelines at "present" (game) time, only in the distant past. : I : earlier proposed an modification on his theroy: Perhaps *similar* : circumstances occurred in the Marathon universe: -a biological threat was : posed to the Jjaro : - the threat forced them to eschew biological form, with help of : Nanomachines, etc. : -they constructed installations to contain/destroy the threat : However, in the Marathon time line, the Flood didn't exist. Perhaps it was : these "Organics", however they came into being, serving as this : threat. : If they were created by an Jjaro (Possibly Joshua, lord of Organics?) they : infected him for whatever reason - now he seeks whatever his goals are. : We'll find out later in the RED volunteers series. : His 'brother', lord of the Metalloids, was perhaps also part of the Jjaro sub : races - although overtaken for whatever reason by nanomachines the Jjaro : created (eschewing Organic form) as a step towards their Cybernetic : existence - and eventual escape from the universe. : Now, this is going out on a very thin line of the extended Marathon-universe. : Since the Trilogy has been analyzed to death, it's interesting to forge : connections in the extended realm which I traverse. You know, for kicks . With this new bit about the Brothers being W'rkncacnter, I am liking your connection more and more - again, especially because it gives me something to populate the last levels with. However, there is one thing that still really gets me, and that is that if Eternal is not explicitly CONNECTED TO the Halo universe, but there are still all those similar events, then it is merely ripping off the Halo universe. The lack of a Halo connection somehow seems less powerful to me as well; everything else we see in Eternal it witnessing and shaping a great historical event we've heard about before in Bungie canon, and the Halo connection, even though it bridges canon, does to very powerfully. But you're nudging me closer :-)
