: I once read a very interresting thing, it was an explaination about psychic
: people. You do remember, at least if you've studied physics, that every
: material thing is actually energi. And energy can be seen as wave motions,
: or it is wave motions. Well anyway, this means that we humans, recnognize
: wave motions when we hear sounds, taste food etc etc. These wave motions
: are transformed by our organs to signals to the brain which in its own
: turn tells us things.
Be careful about what you read. I'm not saying that paranormal phenomena do not exist, but noe of the so-called scientific explanations proposed for how psychics can foresee the future or read people's minds has any real scientific backing what-so-ever. Do I sometimes feel like I'm being watched, only to turn around and see someone staring at me? Of course. Is it because I can sense their brain waves in space? Doubtful, given the incredibly weak nature of brain waves, but not impossible. Are there other explanations for this? Yes, I might sense their body heat, or perhaps there is a very subtle disturbance in the lighting of my environment. Or maybe it's something in subspace (pure SF here), or maybe I sense his soul (pure religion). It's really amazing how much hard "science" is out there, particularly on the net, to explain away paranormal phenomena - science that sounds plausable to the lay public but that has no basis in reality. BTW, being able to sense someone's brainwaves is the equivalent of being able to see your flashlight beam reflected off the surface of the moon.
