"...Ernie seems to have taken interest in my backhistory and used some of the story mechanics from it in WMaiD.[...] It seems, on the surface (though we haven't spoken to Ernie yet about this, I would like to), that it could be possible to string the storyline of Infinity, through Eternal, into WMaiD, Adam's project, and then straight into Rubicon; a concept which I find very appealing. This is partially conditional on the details of Ernie's plot, and of course if the rest of Adam's team likes the idea too; however, one of the bigger hurdles is some apparant contradictions between Eternal's rendition of the Pfhor War and Rubicon's rendition(s) thereof. "
Hey Forrest, I'm interested in discussing this with you at length! Veeerryyy interested.... : )
Tonight I'll write up an outline of where WMaiD stands now, and mail it out to you tomorrow. Although its almost 2:00 am where I am now... i have no class tomorrow and this will keep me awake all night if I don't write it out.
WmaiD also incorporates some elements of Marathon:Red (Ian M.'s Human version of the Juggernauts that are 4legged and mech-like, and the shocktrooper in bulky armor, for example). I'm interested to see how Mark Levin's Voulenteers for M:Red works out in fitting Red into the larger mara-verse.
I'm curious through Forrest. Are you seeking to merge Eternal with WmaiD with Adam's yet unannounced scenario? Or are you just aiming to have a comptability of story among them? Merging I think would water them down due to the limitations of the macintosh Resource fork and Marathon Shape file. I'm all for, however, streamlining storylines.
Back when I began the MaraFF I voiced the opinon that there should be a kind of Story Page for 3rd party scenarios. Not rinky-dink, three level ones, but the extensive works this community has created.
Anyhow, I'll email you tomorrow regarding WMaiD's current storyline.
Regards,
-Ernie
