: I'm impressed that Aleph will simply accept most of what is thrown at it. Map
: files with seperate .rsrc files, MacBinaried map files with the data and
: resource forks combined, Marathon 2 PC map files with the resources merged
: in as part of the data chunk, and now a Marathon 2 PC map file with the
: resources(terminal pics, etc.) merged in the data chunk AND a seperate
: resource fork for the MP3 definitions which was then MacBinaried. Hmm,
: maybe I can fit in a lawn chair... :-)
What I would like to know is, will the Mac version of Aleph read any of the SDL Aleph file types, i.e., if I MacBinary my Map and Images files and stick a copy of Aleph SDL in Eternal folder, will that give me a cross-platform distribution? It would be nice to have just one file that I can tell everybody "click this" and not worry about what they're running.
(Granted, there'll still be three different editions of Eternal X - a minimalist no-OpenGL Limited Edition, the Standard Edition with 256^2 textures and hires everything, and the Extended Edition with 512^2 textures and music).
