: I used your scripts pretty much as they are - I just changed the file names
: to fit my habits. I also changed all the music file names in the script -
: much faster than changing the file names themselves (yes, I know there are
: file naming utilities, but I'm a bit lazy). I'm curious as to why the
: music script has to be in the resource fork of the map file rather than
: just being in the script folder. Perhaps this is something the open source
: folks forgot to implement in the source code.
I wondered this myself the first time I started tinkering with M1A1. For the life of me, I couldn't figure out how Raul got the music to work. It seems SO much easier to make music an MML script (of course, I have no idea about the intricacies of the whole thing, so there MAY be a really good reason why it's not simply an MML script)... you could easily add music to any scenario and let it be map independant. Well, I'm glad you got it to work.
I got concerned about adding music to the Trojan map file because since it is the PC file version, there was no resource fork to add-on to... it was already embedded. Still, I figured there was no reason why I couldn't add a true resource fork on top of it. In reality the map file now has 2 resource forks... one embedded in the map with the terminal pics, etc., and one with the music strings.
