You should have tried the 1st Edition back in '89-90. :) Compared to that, the current edition runs like lightning. Note that they're releasing a 4th edition rulebook soon, I believe at the end of August... just got a tentative invitation yesterday to participate in a promotional event probably on Labour Day weekend. That's supposed to run even faster and have presented players with new tactical options without invalidating the earlier army lists.
-- Steve's looking forward to that; it's a great system, but it still needed a little tweeking.
