: Sorry, you are relatively quirk-free. Still, I haven't read all your posts as
: for a while you were not posting here as often as some others. What do you
: think your writing quirks are?

I've lately come to disregard proper spelling almost entirely, on the basis of (A) I'm too lazy to care, (B) I have software I pay to care for me when it matters, and (C) English spelling sucks anyway so who cares if you got it wrong, it was probably already wrong to begin with.

I also disregard that whole rule about ending sentances with propositions. English is fucked already so I just use it colloquially for effect with no respect for proper grammar or common courtesy. (Watch, some profanity filter stops me here... nope? Wow!)

Uh.... I love using single short dashes bordered by spaces - like this - for certain parenthetical statements. I also tend to use them for concluding comments trailing a sentance - it reflects a manner of my speech that's not quite a comma, but not a full stop either.

: Overall, I'd say you're writing in general is very accurate and
: logically-styled. You seem to set things down neatly and explain them in a
: manner that makes the concepts simple to understand yet you do so without
: *sounding* simple.

: I think your writing has the quality of being indicative of logical thinking
: without sounding boring; I guess what I mean to say is that if you'd
: written some of my high school textbooks the entire experience would have
: sucked less.

Thank you. I've been told I'm a good teacher. I've considered going into it as a career. Maybe I should write textbooks too or instead.

: The faster the wheels in your brain spin, and the more
: energetic you seem to be about what you are thinking, the more eloquent
: your posts seem to be, at least, this is what I think I've observed.

I'd say that's accurate. Though one of my academic skills is making myself be interested in something. Which is getting harder lately since I've got so many more important things to worry about I find it hard to make myself care about trivial shit unless it's already a hobby of mine.
