Don't know if this has been posted yet, but I'm playing the game through on Legendary and have a few pointers to kill Hunters. The first time they're encountered (T&R, level one) you should still have the sniper rifle so that works pretty well. If you let them get close enough to you they will take a lumbering swipe which you can sidestep and then shoot them in the orange exposed area of the lower back. They seem to go down pretty easy this first time. The next time they're encountered they seemed much tougher to me. In the hanger where you start T&R: Into the Belly... The trick is to make sure you wipe out all the other enemies before taking on the Hunters. Then, you will notice a crashed drop ship in this area. If you jump on top of it the Hunters will not be able to reach you with their swipes, try as they might. Also, you'll notice that if you stand still their arm cannon blasts never hit you, but veer off to the side. As long as there is not a wall or structure near you for the cannon blast to deflect off of you will be ok. Both Hunters will be at the base of the drop ship trying to swipe you and you can pick them off with head shots. In a pinch if you run out of ammo you can even crouch down and melee attack them. This technique also works later in this level in the massive hanger. Again, just make sure to clear all the balconies of enemies. Good luck. Note: Keeping your sniper rifle when you are beamed up to the ship will help you immensely on this level.
