I'd have to load up pathways into cheating to test the green and black crystals. I haven't used that since I was a kid in the 90s! I still remember the upside-down blue pyramid.

I agree with your analysis. I believe the walkthrough mentioned those points, but the American scripts confirm it.

Speaking of scripts, if I could go off on another tangent - about this mysterious death message: Seven men in overcoats jump from the shadows and
carry you away. You are never heard from again.

I'm not sure if this has been discussed, but I believe this text is associated with the Sentinels (who can't attack, so you'll never see this in normal gameplay). It makes sense, since everyone else is accounted for, including the Stalker. There's also the placement of this message in the scripts right between skitters and ghasts, which is around the time you mean the Sentinels.
