I can tell you're just gonna keep pushing this theory until someone pounds you over the head with the tru7h, so here you go: A 1.1 mb, 20 second film showing the first outbreak of the flood after that cutscene, and the room they came from. (You might ask what the hell they were doing in there in the first place... but that's not really what we're discussing here - we're discussing whether the Infection Form is capable of breaking down doors.
