Active camo is terrifying.

In Response To: FUD part 4 now online! (Vincent) I always figured that active camo would have some sort of tell. But if what we see in-game is only possible because of a HUD filter, if the naked eye can't hardly see anything... Terrifying. -Curious that the active camo doesn't ALWAYS cover the sword. I've got a theory on that. Maybe energy swords issued to Elites who will do a lot of stealthing have a 'standby' mode where they're on, but powered down enough that the active camo can cover them. When they cut through something like a statue or a warm, fleshy body, the blades go to full power and can't be hidden anymore. -So, some confusion with the armory scene: did the Elite come through a different door than the one it was banging on? I think it was knocking on the front door to distract the cadet's attention, and then burst through a second door. Could be wrong. But if so, it gives me more respect for the Elite. It probably could've cut through the door with its sword faster than it could batter the door down, but if it could break the door open in one punch, it hardly matters. Also, I think it stubbed its toe (hoof?) on the door at 6:17. -Ever get the feeling that a character isn't going to make it, but you don't have a good reason why? I think that Silva is going to die, if only because it's a way to unhinge Lasky. -Wow. It's tragic AND funny how ineffective Vicker's sacrifice was. Really drives home how dangerous Elites are. Did it shoot him with a sidearm? Couldn't quite tell. -I'll be the first to call it: Elites sound like Rakata. You'll never be able to hear it otherwise again. But it's a definite improvement over the "Most Assuredly NOT Japanese" they speak in the terminals. -For some reason, I thought that John was going to say "Come with me if you want to live." -John already has the rank of... Chief? Master Chief? Was he awarded that right out of augmentation? Can't remember. -Walking past all the bodies really drives home how deadly the Covenant are. I'm loving this webseries more and more. -NEEDLE RIFLES! = D ... needle rifles. Carbines. Silva picks up what appears to be the Type-51 Carbine, twenty five years before it was produced. =/ Also, picking up a serious "not going to make it" aura around her.
