In Response To: So... (Gravemind) Camera fades in, a soothing melody begins to play as the camera moves slowly over the Forerunner planet. The remains of the Forward Unto Dawn move on-screen and we faintly hear the familiar chant of monks pick up. Cut to interior of the vessel. The camera moves along the interior while echoes of Cortana's voice are heard. As we move into the cryo-bay, we see hear beeps and a low hissing noise as the camera settles in on one particular pod and a familiar blue glow light comes across it. Sudden cut to black. Cortana: Wake up, John. We are now in the first-person of the Master Chief. His vision blurs as he awakens from a long sleep and sees a holopanel in front of him. Cortana appears after a few seconds. Cortana: Sleep well? We've come across a planet of some kind, Chief. I am not entirely sure, but it does not appear to be a natural formation. It's... Forerunner. I've set my subroutines to initiate a landing, but I don't know if the Dawn has enough power left... At this point, if you are playing in Easy or Normal difficulty, Cortana will ask you to look up, down, and side-to-side in order to set Normal or Inverted. This is not done on higher difficulties. Cortana: I've made a few... modifications...to your Mark VI armor since we've been in stasis. You might need a few minutes to get used to the upgrades. It's not much, but it was the best I could do with the few resources left on the Dawn. I've also integrated a jet pack into your armor. For those, "hard to reach" places. The lighting in the cryobay turns to red and the familiar alarm(the same as on the POA in CE) begins to blare. Cortana looks around quickly, then back to the Chief. Cortana: We're picking up speed. The Dawn is moving too quickly, it's going to hit the planet! There is a Pelican still docked in the Dawn's hanger. If you move quickly, we can get to it before the we hit the planet! The cryopod opens and the player if free to move around. The first level would take place on the Dawn as the Chief races to the Pelican with Cortana and lands on the planet near a UNSC base. They later come back to the Dawn's crash site because the primary antagonists in H4 are discovered to have found it and Cortana wants to collect some precious data before they find it.
