I was never particularly a fan of the Mark VI either, even though it far surpasses the current H4 armor design. I always thought it looked more like a generic super soldier armor suit than the more unique, angular tank-like design from Halo 1. Nevertheless, it's become the most recognizable and iconic of all the armor designs and I would've preferred to see it in H4.

Sadly, the CEA design keeps the massive diaper. I'm still wondering why they didn't just go with the Reach armor with Mark V helmet and shoulders instead of doing another complete redesign.

Exactly. I think they should've stuck with the X-shaped chest design for the Mark VI from the start instead of the generic "man boobs" armor.

I still think the original Mark V is the best MJOLNIR yet, though the Reach version is a close second. Definitely agree on the silhouette.
