Until they re-released "The Flood" and Jossed me with the timeline clarification, I thought that the FRG seen in Halo: CE was a much older model. : Or a heavy machine gun equivalent until 17 years into the war? *Shrugs* They had an earlier version. The fact that they had the T-42 didn't stop them from developing the T-52. : Or even any sniper weapons until near the war's end? I wonder if the T-31 Needle Rifle was used as a sniper rifle. Unlike the Carbine, its projectile doesn't decay over a long distance. And, hey, maybe there was a pre-existing rifle that got replaced by the T-50. : None of this makes any sense. Maybe there were other types of sniper weapons, : automatic plasma cannons, and heavy rocket launcher-like weapons that were : in use earlier but we haven't seen yet, although that really doesn't : explain seeing the Needler, Ghost, and Carbine in Halo Wars. Oh, I've got an explanation for that. Ensemble Studios never had the Halo Bible. The "Type-##" system dates back to the Halo 3 production cycle.
