There were, in the attack on the UNSC Prophesy. You're right those could be the same Phantoms seen at Anchor 9 which are a different model than the atmospheric variety. Wish we'd gotten that one in the Visual Guide. I don't think its designation is known.

The other issue is it could be an art mistake like so many in that book: (The depiction of the Prophesy as both a Halcyon-class in a schematic and a Marathon-class drifting in space, the fact that it's listed as a destroyer in the official Halo Wars timeline. Just for one example.)

I treat comic text as canon over actual art. I don't like having to make the distinction, but so much comic art for Halo has been so mistaken, it's hard to find it very useful.
